Monumento designs bespoke brands for a better future, partnering with teams behind projects that benefit people and planet. Our work spans creative concept and brand strategy, naming, visual identity, packaging design, website design, and digital media, shaping cohesive brand experiences across every channel.

Our design process is founded on research and strategic thinking. We use Branding and Design as tools to build projects that are not only beautiful but timeless, functional and unique. We work closely with our clients and have high regards for their dreams, for we also have a couple of dreams of our own; such as an independent art fair. In order to make all of this happen, we work with a network of collaborators –experts on their fields– who also happen to be very close friends of ours. This allows us to expand our services to other disciplines, making it possible for us to work on bigger and more diverse projects while keeping our design direction and philosophy intact.

Norte is a project owned by the family of two very close friends (and basketball rivals) of Monumento. The family has been making salsas for their Sunday gatherings since forever, and they’ll just make them for themselves. As the opportunity came to bring this family ritual closer to everyone, we thought as Norte as this opportunity to create a homage to the whole north of México, sometimes lost between other more famous Mexican folclores. The northern region of México is sometimes considered by other Mexicans as a hard region because of its challenging extreme weather and the loud way we northerns supposedly talk. This imaginary is expressed through its loud colors and impactful wordmark, also analogous to the unforgetful first impressions Mexican salsas makes to unexperienced taste buds.
